Award winning painter Mark N Tompkins is a famous Canadian set painter with notable success both in theater and in film. Born in Vancouver, Canada, and having spent most of his childhood in Staten Island, New York, Mark always dreamed to become an artist.[1]
History[]
Tompkins was born on January 16th, 1975 in Vancouver, in a middle class family. This is the main reason for his family to move to New York, when he is only 3 years old. Mark showed early signs of artistic talents at the age of 11 and later decided to enroll at the Capilano University in Vancouver, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious institutions in Canada.[2]
Work[]
Mark stage and film career took off in the late 1990's, while he was working as student on theater plays. He got involved in the TV series Borderline, which was is considered as the starting position for all of his later film projects.[3] His break-thru in Hollywood happened in 1999, with his work on Lake Placid. Several other movies from the horror genre movie acquired his talents, which led to his national fame.[4]
Tompkins is also into acting, but had no significant success.
