Dennis Rafkin is a powerful, yet neurotic psychic who helped Cyrus capture the first twelve ghosts in the Black Zodiac.
Biography
Dennis was paid by Cyrus Kriticos to help him capture twelve ghosts bound to earth, without knowing what Cyrus was using them for. However, while capturing the Juggernaut, the twelfth ghost, Cyrus was apparently killed and Dennis demanded Ben Moss for the payment Cyrus owed him.
Some time later, when Cyrus's nephew, Arthur Kriticos, and his family moved into Cyrus's mansion, Dennis showed up there, posing as a power company employee to get into the house and find his promised payment. Dennis searched the basement, where he had a psychic episode. Realizing that there was a supernatural presence in the basement, Dennis put on his spectral viewers and saw the captured ghosts trapped in the basement.
Dennis thus freaked out and tried to warn Arthur and Moss, but the two refused to believe him. Dennis then had another episode, and when Arthur tried to help him, Dennis saw Arthur's entire life. From this, Dennis realized that when the fourth ghost whom Dennis himself had helped capture was alive, she was Arthur's wife. However, Dennis kept quiet about this.
When a reluctant Dennis searched the basement with Maggie, he proved the existence of the ghosts to her and found that several ghosts had been released. After several close run-ins with the rampant ghosts, Dennis and Maggie met back up with Arthur and Kalina and escaped to the safe library. There, Kalina revealed who the fourth ghost was, and Arthur and Dennis decided to take one last look around the mansion, using a detached pane of ectobar glass as a shield against the attacking ghosts.
When the Hammer attacked the two, Dennis forced Arthur into a corner, protected by the glass, and distracted the Hammer, dodging his attacks. However, at that moment, the newly-released Juggernaut joined in, and the two ghosts overwhelmed Dennis. The Hammer beat Dennis to the floor before the Juggernaut finished him off by breaking his spine on a pole.
Later, when the house was about to explode, Dennis's ghost visited Arthur, telling him to go to his kids.
